First lamp with ammonites

My very first lamp with ammonites.  When I had the idea to incorporate ammonites into stained glass design I had no idea how to work with ammonites and if this idea will work at all. Few people who are the experts in geology and gemology tried to talk me out of doing that. They warned me that ammonites are extremely fragile, very sensitive to high temperatures and so on. Well, they were right. They only forgot to say that calcite, that ammonites are consist of, is also very sensitive to chemicals that are involved in stained glass works. I had to overcame that obstacle too. The result, that little lamp, only 5-by-10 inches was so pretty that I couldn’t stop and continued to explore with new designs.
