“That tooth was almost a finished owl, I only had to shape it a little” – says Stan, showing one of his last ivory carving projects. A nice pendant on a silver chain carved with great detail and perfect quality. The owl measures 40 mm tall and is made from a fossilized walrus tooth, legally found in Alaska. Here is also one small owl similarly made, it is 1″ or 25mm tall. Two other owls are Stan’s first experiments as silversmith. The small one is appr. 1.5″ or 40 mm tall, the larger one is 2.5″ or 83mm. Both were carved from chips of fossil walrus tusk. Please contact for availability |
