Every piece of a mammoth tusk is a piece of art, it only needs to be presented properly. Here, I’m presenting a cross-cut slice of mammoth tusk. Just by looking on it, you can see how mighty the owner of the tusk was. It was, undoubtfully, a fully matured bull mammoth with huge tusks. The diameter of the slice is 5 inches (125mm). I asked my daughter to decorate it with some scrimshaw in style of cave art. That how our ancestors saw woolly mammoths and probably were amazed by them.
