As I have mentioned below, I had an idea of the most universal design. I wanted to make a shade that can be used for a table lamp design or for the wall installation, or for independent light sculpture. It can be used by itself or in combination with the others, can be one-sided or two-sided and in many different positions too. The possibilities were endless, and I started to explore those shades in combination with each other. For this purpose, I have made three separate light sculptures, two with concave light side and one with convex. I used most beautiful ammonites for my shades and when everything was ready, the name: “The ancient wave” have instantly come to my mind.
The shade by itself is measuring 16 inches (400mm) by 7.5 inches (187mm). The additional high and width are determined by the base. Here I have only three shades with so many applications and more to think about.
