The shell of the Turtle is made from fossil walrus ivory. For the head and legs I used pieces of mammoth ivory. Base is a section of a mammoth tusk.
I tried to bring forth all the beauty of each kind of material that went into this ivory carving. The carving is 3.5″ (90mm) long and 2-5/8″ (66mm) wide. It stands 1.4″ (35mm) toll
