Name: |
Walrus |
Description: |
This carving is made from the root of fossilized walrus tusk. The tusk was found by an Eskimo diver, who lives on St. Lawrence island. Using a boat, he went to a place where walruses lived long time ago and searched for their remains on the sea floor. The waves are usually high and there is no visibility underwater. The stand is made from aromatic cedar. |
