The piece of mammoth ivory, that was used to create this carving, used to be a tip of mammoth tusk or a section of the tip. It definitely was used to chase the predators away. It was my first thought when I saw this piece of material and I wanted to bring it back to action one more time.
The carving is 6″ (150mm) tall and 2-1/4″ (57mm) wide plus width of it’s wooden base.
